Track signups, purchases, downloads, form submissions, or any custom event triggered from your JavaScript code. Attach a currency code for revenue tracking and see monetary value per conversion.
Choose a threshold from 1% to 100% and optionally a page path. Scroll measurement requires data-scroll="true" in your tracking snippet and uses the custom-event allowance.
Use event property conditions to focus a goal, such as Purchase events where plan equals premium. Standard pageviews do not carry custom properties, so conditions requiring those properties need a matching event payload.
Choose which goals appear on your main dashboard. Keep important conversion metrics visible at a glance while hiding experimental or legacy goals from the daily view.
Goal reports show unique conversions, total conversions, conversion rate and revenue when configured. Use goal filtering to see the conversion rates for the pages, sources, countries and devices in your selected traffic.
Click a goal, or pick one in the filter menu, and the dashboard's figures, chart and panels count its conversions. The top of the page shows unique and total conversions, the conversion rate and revenue, and each panel shows which sources, pages, countries and devices converted, each with its own conversion rate.
Open site settings, click Add Goal, choose the type, enter the target (URL path, event name, or scroll percentage), and save. Pageview goals start counting immediately with no code. Custom event goals count what your own code sends, so they stay at zero until the page fires the event. Scroll depth goals are measured by the tracker once the snippet carries data-scroll="true".
When creating a custom event goal, specify a currency code. Then send the amount as a property named revenue in your tracking code. OpenMetrica aggregates revenue per goal so you can see total and per-conversion monetary value.
Each custom event goal supports up to 10 conditions based on its event's properties. Conditions use equals, not-equals or contains operators and are combined with AND logic. This lets you create highly targeted goals without cluttering your dashboard.
Answers before you get started.
Up to 50 goals per site on any plan. This includes all three types, pageview, custom event, and scroll depth, combined.
No. Pageview goals are configured entirely in the dashboard settings. Just enter the URL path you want to track. Custom event goals require a simple JavaScript call in your site code.
Yes. Custom event goals support an optional currency code. Send the amount as a property named revenue in your event tracking call and OpenMetrica aggregates the total revenue per goal.
Yes. Click a goal in the Goals panel and the dashboard's figures, chart and panels show that goal's conversions. The sources panel then lists the channels and referrers that converted, each with its conversion rate, and the pages panel the pages where the conversions happened.
Goals track a single conversion event. Funnels track a sequence of goals to visualize the step-by-step journey and identify where visitors drop off. You need at least 2 goals to build a funnel.
Choose a pageview, custom event or scroll goal. All three types are included on every plan.
