Multi-step visualization

Define a sequence of 2 to 8 conversion goals and see how many visitors complete each step. The funnel chart shows absolute visitor counts and percentage conversion between each step, making drop-off points immediately obvious.

Configurable time windows

Set a conversion window from 1 to 30 days. A visitor must complete all funnel steps within this window to be counted. Shorter windows measure urgency; longer windows capture considered purchases.

Built on ClickHouse windowFunnel

Funnel results are computed from recorded events using ClickHouse windowFunnel. Query time depends on your range, traffic and the service workload; a funnel report can cover up to 90 days.

Uses any combination of goals

Each funnel step is a previously defined pageview or custom event goal. Mix and match the two within a single funnel. For example, step 1 could be a page visit and step 2 could be a custom event.

Per-step drop-off rates

For each step, see the absolute visitor count, percentage of visitors who reached that step from the previous one, and the cumulative conversion rate from step 1. Identify the single biggest leak in your conversion flow.

Goal order matters

Funnels track sequential completion, visitors must complete step 1 before step 2, step 2 before step 3, and so on. This ensures the funnel reflects the actual user journey, not just whether goals were completed in any order.

Funnel setup

Build a funnel from your existing goals

Open site settings, add a funnel, select your goals in order and choose a conversion window. The default is 30 days. Reports can use retained event history that matches those goals; you do not need to wait for a new funnel-specific tracker.

Drop-off analysis

Find the biggest leak in your conversion flow

The funnel chart shows a visual bar for each step, sized proportionally to the visitor count. Steps with sharp drops stand out immediately. Click into the details to see which step has the lowest conversion rate and focus your optimization there.

Privacy-safe tracking

Cookie-free, pseudonymous funnel analysis

Funnels connect events with a site-scoped HMAC derived from the visitor IP, User-Agent and a fixed 90-day window. A change of IP or browser, or crossing a rotation boundary, can split a journey. This avoids a stored browser cookie but is still pseudonymous processing.

The details

Frequently asked questions

Answers before you get started.

How many funnels can I create?

Up to 20 funnels per site on every plan, free included. Each funnel can have 2 to 8 steps and a conversion window of 1 to 30 days.

Can I use different goal types in one funnel?

Yes. Each step can be a pageview goal or a custom event goal. Mix them freely within a single funnel.

How does funnel tracking work without cookies?

The server derives a site-scoped pseudonym from the request IP, User-Agent and a fixed 90-day rotation window. It is not stored in the visitor's browser. Rotation boundaries, IP changes and browser changes can split a journey, so this does not guarantee continuous identification for 90 days.

What is the difference between funnels and goals?

Goals track individual conversions. Funnels track the sequential journey through multiple goals to show where visitors drop off. You need at least 2 goals to create a funnel.
